Isn't Banff spectacular?  I spent two years living in Calgary, AB, and I always loved going over there. 

Jill, did you have a chance to go up to Jasper to see the glacier?

One of my friends from high school was originally from Canada.  We have kept in touch over the years and when he found out I was moving to Calgary, he told me to be sure to go to Lake Louise because he was convinced that's where God goes on vacation.

Canada is such a spectacular country.  It's a shame more of us Americans never have the opportunity to experience that.

I think I remember people suggesting something similar to what you just did some time ago under the thread that dealt with where we would like to go. Can't recall the actual thread name!

I hope many check this thread because I think you might get a lot of interest. Why don't you post some photos & see what kind of feedback you get. I would like to see pics  even if we are not up to hiking in the mountains!

Just wanted to share with you that Vicki and I just spent the past 6 days in Calgary, Banff and the Bugaboos heli-hiking in Canada's stunning mountains!  WOW! What a beautiful country! This outfit heli-coptered us out to remote area to do a days hike and fed us extremely well. With all the exercise, we did not lost one pound - lol

Heli-hiking - is this something people might be interested in doing down the road???? We kept thinking how wonderful it would be to take over an entire lodge - believe me, there was nothing fun about being the only lesbians out of 45 participants. But wow, to do it with only Olivia would be an awesome experience. Let us know your thoughts.

Any day is good when Henin plays. Or, better yet, our sister, Mouresmo. Too bad she didn't enter this year.

You saw the final Marigold??? Lucky you. Those tickets are expensive now. When we lived in Toronto we used to be able to watch all matches on one day for a mere $25, now they charge up to $260+ for one match I think.

What a great tennis match it was. I was thinking that Henin was going to loose but she finally came through.

Enjoyed Jankovitch too. I think she's a great sport, often applauding Henin's good plays.

 OK, off to get dinner in time to watch the golf..................
