At last count our group for Turks Resort I is now just over 60!  Women from all walks of life and from throughout the country.  Looking forward to an amazing time, lots of laughs and meeting new friends!  Less than a year to go...

Also booked a year in advance, going with a group of friends but im flying solo (at least for now)  as for your question.... i sure hope there is a good percentage of singles, this is my first olivia vac.  alittle nervious about the shared room thing, do you know they match you up and when you find out who it is?

Anyone aware of the comic lineup?   I know it's a little soon, but we've been wondering if they (Olivia) had booked anyone yet.  Thanks for the input!

Finally found this group after searching around a little. We are Lynn and Marg from Toronto. This will be our 3rd Olivia trip and we are very excited about it. Our 1st one was Costa Rica in 2006 and the fabulous African Safari last Dec. As others have said...you won't be disappointed if it is your 1st time. We had hesitated over the cost but believe me those extra $$ are more than worth it. The Olivia staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is as you wish. Then there is the company of many wonderful women. We have met some terrific women that really made for a great holiday. We are going with 5 friends - 3 from here in Toronto and our Brit friends that we met last year on safari.

It does seem like an awfully long way away though!

Glad to see that I'm not the only one booking a trip more than a year in advance.

I've been on two previous Olivia cruises and enjoyed the experience both times. Does anyone know if the resorts get the same percentage of solos as the cruises?

One good piece of advice is to PACK LIGHT!!  We learned from experience that we don't wear half of what we end up packing.  During the day we are in our bathing suits and sarong or shorts.  Then dressier for dinner.  Many women dress super casual for dinner, and others dress up.  We prefer to dress up (as you can tell from one of the pix I sent you.. me in the red dress going to dinner.)  Also, bring an appetite!  We always gain close to 10 lbs in the week we are on vacation from all the fruity drinks and fabulous food.  The white chocolate bread is addicting!!  I would eat it every night for dessert!  So, that is why I just dropped a bunch of weight, 15 lbs, before we head to Tahiti next month!  I don't want to worry about what I eat or drink on vacation!  Susan

We booked this resort again and loved it the first time we went in Nov. 2005.  We have at least 10 friends who have booked the trip as well. The water is the most beautiful we have ever seen.  Bev said the scuba diving is fabulous.  I don't dive, but the snorkeling was amazing too.  The island is small, and we prefered just to stay at the resort.  We flew in a night early and stayed at a local hotel, and the island restaurants were expensive and touristy. We had friends that rented a car and did an island tour on their own, and said there wasn't much to see.  We did one excursion at the resort, which was the sunset cataraman cruise, but we were happy just to be on the beach at the resort all day.  So much to do at the resort, or, you can do nothing at all.  Food was great.  We booked the cheaper of the rooms because we have realized from doing several resorts already that you are rarely in your room.  We are there just to shower, sleep, and fool around!  We have a ton of pics on our computer from that trip, so if anyone is interested, I can send them to you in an email.  But, before we head to the Club Med Turquoise, we are going to Tahiti with Olivia in 6 short weeks!!! :)

I traveled to Club Med Turqoise in 1991 to go scuba diving.  I remember so well the beautiful water, soft white sand and the diving was good.  I don't remember there being much else going on around there but it's a perfect place to just kick back and enjoy the sun, sand and water.  And this time it will be with my partner Cindy and with Olivia women.  We are really looking forward to it.  Yvonne

We have been on 9 Olivia trips, 6 of them land based. WE LOVE THE LAND BASED!  We went to Turks with Olivia in 2001, and of all the clubs we have been to this was one of the best.  The beach and water is beyond description, and if you like to snorkel this is the place.  Believe it or not, the water is as nice as Tahiti.  You will have no regrets about this trip.  It is fun from sunrise to sunset....

My partner, Genea, and I just booked this resort trip today; we have no idea how we will wait until October 2008.  This will be our first Olivia trip.  We are taking the trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary which is November 2008.  I've picked up a couple books on the islands and we are considering staying on for another week to see Grand Turks as well as some other smaller islands.  We currently live in Phoenix, Arizona and are originally from Northern Illinois. Any other Arizona couples planning to take this trip?

We and 22 of our closest friends booked this trip yesterday....some have gone on a resort trip with Olivia before...and absolutely loved it!   All have enjoyed both cruises and resorts equally...although they are different experiences. 

I have no idea how we are going to wait till October, 2008...we are fired up about this trip!  Included in our group are the famous (or infamous) Oklahomos from the Hawaii cruise, Oregonians, Texans and even a Hoosier.  Most are true blue Olivians...although we do have a number of Olivia virgins going. 

For Lin and I, this will be our first resort vacation, we were on the Hawaii 2006 cruise and will be going soon (not soon enough) on the 2007 Tahiti cruise. 

We look forward to chatting with fellow T&C'ers over the next year or so...
