Hi everyone!! I also just went through a painful break up!! I'm so interested in going on this cruise - and in noticing that there are so many people going solo, just wondering if anyone is interested in a room mate??? That is if that is even allowed...???

Hey Ladies,

I can't even put into words how excited I am about this trip. I also just came off of the Cruise for our Cause with purplehayes,. We were both solos and I had a blast. I will be traveling solo again. I am sooo addicted after just taking my first Olivia Cruise. I had to rebook immediately.

It is a marvelous experience going solo, because you don't have to wait around on other people as you may sometimes do in a group, and you can always go your own way or slip into someone else's fun. There are drinks available almost 24/7 if you need a little liquid courage to do that. I mean there were things I never even heard of being mixed on the ship and I was in at least 3 settings were someone in the group offered rounds of drinks for everyone.

The bonds you will make are excellent. I am 26 years old, and mingled with ladies from 25-60, very free spirited and open environment. I am really looking forward to meeting more fun ladies and taking many life experiences with me for a second time around, and hopefully many more to come. If you see me speak, I shouldn't be that hard to spot. I don't bite. ha.

See you in San Diego,

Jess

Hey Solo Friends,

It's getting closer to cruise time. I am very excited to meet new friends and think we will have to get together and enjoy lemondade or lemon martini's (my choice) like k8kat mentioned. Drinks

Keep in touch as the time gets closer.

Kate-

You will have a great time.  There is so much to do that you will be able to take your mind off things.  My concern is that I took this cruise last year with my partner. We had a wonderful time. Now that we are not together I am considering this cruise again but wonder if it will make me sad or if I can forget the past and make lemonade with you Kate!  jo

I wasoriginally booked to take this cruise with my partner, but following a mutual(but sad) break-up, I have decided to go on my own! I am finally starting tofeel excited about it and am now looking at the opportunity through "neweyes". I have travelled solo extensively in the past (Europe, Africa) butnever considered going solo on a cruise....that said, when life gives youlemons...you make lemonade...and heck, I think I'll go farther than that andmake a lemon martini!! And I strongly suspect I may share one or two of thosemartinis with some fun and interesting women.

3-monthcountdown, here we go!

I have enjoyed reading everyone's entries as it has eased a little of the nervous feeling I have about taking this cruise solo. This will be my first cruise with Olivia. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having a great time.

Glad to be of service!  i've heard the horror stories and jokes about packing certain things and would hate to be the one who holds up the securiy line because something was buzzing or something!!  Thanks so much for the reply :-)  Now I KNOW everyone will be looking at me thinking "That Girl is Packing".  LOL!!!

LOL!!! Thanks for the laugh! Not to worry--we have brought "toys" on cruises before! Just pack them carefully in your suitcase. I think we used a pillowcase, tied it shut, and just put them in our checked luggage. After all, wouldn't want them to fall out should the suitcase open unexpectedly or if they decide to go through that bag! I'd remove any batteries and carry them in your purse if I were you. Or better still, just get batteries in San Diego.

Again, thanks for the giggle!
