Hi everyone - I lead the team at Olivia that brings all of the new features and fixes to the Olivia.com website. I want to thank those of you in the thread Updates to Connect for drawing to my attention that we've not been keeping you up-to-date on all of the exciting changes we've made to the website over the six months.
After we launched the new website last year, we started maintaining a list of suggestions and bug fixes that we received from you. Those suggestions come from our connect groups, from comments you make to staff on our trips, from usability studies that we've performed with individuals, and from suggestions to our guest services department on the phone. The list of suggestions is well over 1000 items long, so please understand if your "pet suggestion" may not have been addressed yet.
The top piece of feedback we received last summer was that it was difficult to navigate between trips; as a result, my team spent a lot of effort redesigning the home page to improve that experience. We have more improvements coming to the individual trip pages as well.
Here are some of the other major features and enhancements that have come out in the past few months:
December: Launched the "Women of the World (WOW)" program on the website, including the ability to see your "WOW" status on the "My Past Vacations" page of "My Account". Also enhanced the Refer-a-friend program.
Early January: A new message center! New features include: The ability to send messages to yourself. The ability to see messages you have sent to other people. Message center notification - when you receive a message/flirt/friend request, or a friend updates her profile, we will send an email to you.
February: Released new trips to the website that were announced in the spring/summer catalog.
March: Updated nearly all of the individual trip pages, to include more complete information about the entertainers on our upcoming trips. We've also updated about half of the "Traveler Info" tabs for trips, and added information about pre-cruise check-in to the Upcoming Vacations page. (This information will only appear if you have a reservation for a cruise in next 30-60 days).
Some of the major projects we're working on right now include: The ability to see all parties on a reservation when you visit the Upcoming Vacations page; The ability to merge duplicate profiles (some of you have separate travel and connect profiles); Redesign of individual trip pages to make it easier to find key information about the trip.
