Some of these games sound really fun.  I hope I get a chance to join in and play.

When we play LCR at home we use quarters or dollars.  What will we use when we play on the ship?

    Pam & Andi,

I played a version of killer (called mafia) last year at a week long water skiiing vacation.  What a riot, although I think it was a slightly different version.  Seems to me there was a killer, police, and mafia (the mafia people were the ones that tried to throw the police off the trail, and no one know what anyone's role was, so you didn't know who was a fellow officer/mafia).  It was an absolute hoot.  And the more nights we played, the better everyone got at lying, so the game got harder as we went on.  Best I recall, a false accusation meant you were out of the game - which of course meant you had to run and get the beers for everyone else.  I'm in.  And Joyce is a terrible liar, so we can count on her to run and get the beers.  (Although she's not allowed to charge them all to our room!)

Sure JJay--sometimes no-brainer games are just the ticket.  Jayne and Lori are bringing pass the pigs, we're bringing LCR.  And, as long as we have a deck of cards, we can also play Killer.  Anyone else played that?  It's really simple.  Everyone gets one card.  One person will end up with the Queen of Spades and she is the Killer.  They "kill" people by winking them dead.  If you get winked at, you wait a minute and announce that you're dead.  The object is to catch the killer before you get killed.  False accusations are subject to drinking penalties!  It's a lot of fun.

Yea, JJay.  We play "screw your neighbor" every Wednesday night at the local French club.  Gotta love those one card games!  It's a lot of fun and is better played with many.  Looking forward to hanging with all you women.  Cool

What is with all these strategic games?  What about "Pass the Ace", aka "Shiet on your Neighbor"??  You only have one card to worry about; absolutely no strategy involved.....  Anyone intersted?

    Hi

Diane and I are Casino players. Our Grandmothers taught us too. Would love to play with others.

Spice and Malice?  My mom's side of the family comes from Indianna, and I'm pretty sure that is the same game I play with my cousins - they call it housewrecker.  I've got one cousin that beats me 9 out of 10 games, and I can't figure out what she is doing better than I am - so perhaps someone can teach me what I'm doing wrong.  She'll go crazy if I can keep up with her all of a sudden.

You can count Joyce and I in on the games - although we haven't heard of most of these.  And if drinking is a disadvantage, then I doubt we'll be winning much.

     Lisa

Hey game enthusiast!  Just a thought.  There is a thread about door decor.  Maybe we can find a one of our doors to be a central posting with the daily 'game' plan.  Lori and I are in 8029.

OMG! I haven't heard of Spite and Malice in 20 years!  I used to play that with my parents and grandma!  As I recall (though the memory is distant) we had a GREAT time playing that!  Looking forward to playing again!

What is Casino?  Never heard of it.  My partner and I also play a two person game called "Spite and Malice"- Anyone heard of that?  You use two decks.  26 cards go to each player.  Five in the hand and you have 4 spots you can utilize to play your cards to and from-  and four play spots in the middle that you start from Ace and work up to Queen (King is wild) The purpose it to be the first to get rid of the pile of 26 cards.
