Ah schucks, thanks Sleddog, right back at ya!!!   I really am about having a great and wonderful time, to get up every day and smile, wave, and say hi to all that I pass as I go on my rounds.  Life is too short to not spread joy to others.  It takes more muscles to frown then to smile, for some it is easier to look the other way then to help, to sit back and let others do the does, but not me, I love to be in the thick if it, to get involved to be a problem solver, to just do the best I can do for others.

 Love putting together my meet n greets on every trip, and they keep getting better and bigger.  It brings me great joy to watch all the wonderful "Ladies Of Olivia" at the party laughing and sharing stories, getting to meet new friends, seeing what neat gifts people have brought along to share with strangers, that may become good friends.   To feel the buzz of positive energy in the air, there is nothing like it, so I now would like to thank all that will be attending the party, THANK YOU for showing up, for making great lasting memories.  YOU are making this all possible!!

This trip will be a wonderful vacation.  How can it not, we will be with wonderful supportive womyn in tropical paradises.  I can hardly wait to see you all with your happy faces!!!

Just a quick tip for those of you driving to the port.  Drop off your luggage first and then park.  Otherwise you have to get it to the drop off area and it can be a haul.  The parking in the garage is very convenient!

We are really looking forward to this cruise.  We're moving to FL from Portland OR the end of October...and after the 3000+ miles of driving with our dogs it will be a much needed vacation.  Thanks so much about the parking info....hadn't thought that far ahead yet :)

Ok, our trip is about to come round.  Yes, I am ready for a great adventure, going to places I have never been to before, on a cruise ship with womyn, have done that, still fun, on vacation and away from work, away from the rain and into some sunshine, soft sand and blue waters!!!

Ok, a refresher!   

The night b/4 the cruise, Oliva will have their party at the host hotel, Marriott's Harbor Beach Resort.  At the door, 35, b/4 that nite, 30.  I am going, have never gone to one b/4, have heard pros and cons to this event. 

The day of sailing.   Come to the LIDO deck, asap, for "Inde's Meet and Greet".  Come with your swimsuit, and such for we will be by the pool and the bar.   Bring your "optional" gifts, I ask that each person brings at least 4 of something, they do not need to be wrapped or expensive.   All the gifts go on a table and then after a bit we can all pick a gift or two to take with us.  We all get to meet and laugh, eat, drink and make new friends, no matter what your age, single or not, all are welcome.  This is a fun positive way to start our trip off, trust me it is a fun social.  Bring your camera and a positive attitude.  See ya there on the LIDO deck.

I am upset about the gas tax, I thought that once you paid in full that meant paid in full. I am not happy about the headliners changing. I know me and my partner will have a great time but all of these little issues that keep popping up are getting annoying

HI LADYS, i called holland american, and the info is our ship named " MS WESTERDAM" will dock on pier 26, i hope this helps . also theres a parking lot called "usa park" their right on the pier, they charge 15 dollars per day. their phone number is (954- 462-7287) you can call n check it out. theres another one called park n fly, they charge 10 dollars a day but their afew blocks away. their number is (954-779-1776) .i did mention OUR PORT IS PORT EVERGLADES. call if your interested in the parking, you need reservations for park n fly. their web site WWW.PNF.COM  well i hope this helps those who are driveing down like we are . can't wait to meet you all. carmen (shanel)

Yes, there have been a lot of unhappy travelers discussing the issue. I believe it is under the "IS IT JUST ME" group topic. Been discussing the gas prices, itinerary change and no headliner for the cruise.

The Grand Turk volunteer excursion that I was planning was oked, but now that we are not going there, a moot point.  I posted that on the topic page of "Grand Turks".   Once again I would like to thank all of those that came forward and wanted to volunteer, thanks again!!!!!

Hey great suggustions, thanks for the web site.  Just fab of you to post all that info..  So right on on both posts babyface45!!  I will be bring rainbow colored wrist bands that say PRIDE on them, I have about 200 of them.  Whoo hoo!!

Ok, am doing some research on how to be a volunteer on Grand Turks Island.  Have sent out some emails asking them to respond on what a large group, that would be us, could do to assist in the rebuild of Grand Turks when we are in Port.  When I get a response I will post here.  We are in Port from 7 to 1.  The Islands where hit pretty hard and need help in any way possible, so I thought it would be great to get a bunch of lesbians to do whatever we could to rebuild.  

 Do I have any takers?   Contact me if you would like to assist.  It would be good to get a head count.

If you are talking about the welcome party it is the night before the cruise at the host hotel, Marriott Harbor Beach, 3030 Holiday Dr., Sat. Nov. 22 from 7 pm - 10 pm, $30 in advance, $35 at the door. 

The last time I was at a welcome party there wasn't really a dress code, I would say it  was just casual. I really don't see a need for a costume, well I should say, I haven't heard anything about needing a costume. I recommend that you don't bring alot of clothes (dress), as they really are not needed. We made that mistake on our last cruise.

However, you will need to dress very nice if you go to the Pinnacle to eat dinner, as well as, dressing nice in the dining room for dinner. Of course, don't forget to dress for the night club as well. I hope this helps you alittle. Kris

Hello everyone! Well, this is our 2nd Olivia cruise and we can't wait!!!  It has been a long four years since our last cruise, so we are definitely excited and looking forward to the birthday bash!! 

If anyone is interested in bringing some gifts for the meet & greet, I found a cool website with a lot of cheap party gifts, http://www.orientaltrading.com. This is also a great website to find party favors, arts & crafts, craft kits & supplies, toys & novelties, holiday decorations, teacher supplies, etc. I also like the fact that most of these items come in 12 or 24 packs too.

I was thinking about bringing some inflatable beach balls, dominos/playing cards, or maybe some Thanksgiving related items. Here's a thought: anyone that wants to participate could bring a different item or if we can think of a specific item(s), each person could buy one pk. of that item(s), that way everyone would get a gift at the meet & greet
