Thanks, artgirl! He's such a little mess! We adopted him a couple years ago from a pet rescue foundation. He had obviously been abused/mistreated--part of his tongue is missing and he has some pretty peculiar quirks (like he will NOT eat if his bowl is not right up against the wall). But now, he gets TONS of loving! He spends a great deal of time visiting patients in the local nursing homes as he is used as a therapy dog. The patients LOVE him. It's amazing how they react to seeing a little dog who smiles all the time and who just wants to be petted. We were told he was a smooth Brussels Griffon, but his vet and I think there may be some Boston Terrier mixed in there. He is the BEST dog in the world and I encourage everyone to get out there and look into adopting from a rescue foundation before supporting some of the local "puppy-mills". I've had pure-bred dogs before, but I've never had a dog as loving and loyal as our little man! When we go to our local PetSmart, he climbs onto the bottom shelf of the shopping cart and rides there, provoking fits of laughter from other customers. The staff knows him by name and he LOVES it! In case you can't tell--I adore my little man!
