I think most ship cabin doors are metal, right, not wood?

I think I may have read somewhere, and remeber from my 2 previous cruises with Olivia..are the cabin doors magnetic?

The music was also very significant to us.  Especially, Cris's "The Changer and The Changed" a stunningly beautiful album.  Now if I could figure out something creative that would include the gorgeous view of our San Diego harbor.

We took an Olivia cruise to the Mexican Riviera back in 2008 - the year marriages were allowed in CA.  It was our honeymoon cruise, so we put a copy of a wedding photo on our door with a sign that said "Just Married!"

This time, I think we'll do something to honor Olivia Records since that music was a huge part of our coming out experience.  Maybe scan some old photos of Cris and Meg ... and also add some old photos of us from 40 (gulp...) years ago.

What are some of the items  you usually see on a door?  On a straight cruise we saw posters of an onboard perfomer on some doors, indicating fans, but is there anything particular for Olivia cruises?

I think we too are gonna decorate our door. it will be fun. this is my first cruise ever, but my partner has been on a few and has seen other peeps do it too....

I just got back from a straight Holland America cruise to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Key West on the ms Westerdam. YES they also decorate their door but not as festive. It really helps me find my cabin when I see the other decorated doors and my own. Also it shows the fun side of life. People may not know your name but they know your cabin theme.

Unfortunately could not view the video due to copyright laws, but I am glad I saw this post.  We are one of the "Virgins" who did not know about this, and I will be doing a little decorating.  Sounds fun!

Last time was our first Olivia cruise, Western Caribbean.  There were quite a few ladies who decorated their cabin doors.  This time we are decorating our door.  I'm including my link to our last Olivia vacation video.  It has several of the decorated doors featured.

         We decorated our door last year and we will again this cruise.  Not only was it fun to plan and do, it was fun to wander around the ship and look at other peoples door!   It also helps as you meet new friends and instead of a room number you can tell them just look for the door with....
