My thoughts and heart is with you also. Maybe you could listen to something I found on YouTube. It is Meg Christian-From The Heart. Music (our music) is a good place to start turning it over.

Hey, pbj, I'm so glad you are still coming and I am so with you in heart.  My partner Diane died in 2008, 6 days before we were supposed to leave on an Olivia Halloween resort trip in Turks & Caicos.  I DID cancel - but when I got home to my empty house after the funeral, and stood in my empty kitchen, I couldn't stand it, so I called the resort and showed up a day late.  It WAS the best place to be, with love all around me.  Since then -- 2 more cruises as a solo, so this one will be the third.  I'll be happy to offer support, or to respect your privacy - just want to say, Glad you're coming!

Bridget...everything you said hit right to the heart!

You do need to come on this cruise...for you...and I know Teresa would say...do it!!

We'll see you on the ship...no better place to be at this time in your life...than the arms & hearts of the women of Olivia!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss...but look forward to meeting you on the cruise. Hopefully the Olivia women can indeed lift you up and  share a few laughs with you between the tears.

My partner, Teresa, died on New Year's eve after a 7 year battle with ovarian cancer.  My first thought was to cancel the cruise but after talking with friends and my boss at the library I can see the wisdom of coming on the cruise.  The Olivia experience is a healing balm that has always lifted me up.  I can't think of a time when I will need the women of Olivia more than at this time.  Please don't think that I am feeling without direction.  While I am still shedding tears and the house seems so empty, I am actually feeling more serene than sad.  Teresa was in so much discomfort and pain and just not happy with the quality, or the lack of it, of her life.  It was painful to see her hurting so much and not be able to do anything to make it better.  We are both in better places she just has a shorter to do list.
