I feel like such a silly girl! I was so excited about a pre-cruise get together that I never checked my arrival time. I thought I was arriving in Vancouver @ 3:00 pm, but I'm actually leaving Anchorage @ 3:00 pm & arriving in Vancouver @ 7:00pm :(

I hope everyone has a great time and that I'll get to meet everyone on the high seas :)

Thanks for the RSVPs We now have about 100 Olivia women interested in this party and growing. Since we can have 600 attend we have plenty of room. Celebrities is the largest GLBT club in Vancouver. Check it out on-line.  Please spread the word on this blog and the Olivia Facebook page. I do not have Facebook so please ask the Facebook group to post their positive only RSVPs on this Olivia blog. Good News!

Our group has an offer to go to "Celebrities" Night Club IN VANCOUVER Davie Village (glbt club) from 6pm to 12pm or later. The men show up at 11pm - midnight but we can stay also and meet our gay brothers. The 6-11pm will be us only. There is a $10 fee(PAID TO THE CLUB AT THE DOOR)  which includes admission, light food - sandwiches and veggies and a DJ. The Celebrities" Night Club hold 600 people. YES IT HAS A FULL BAR. Celebrities must buy food from another club so the number of attendees is a factor.

Our host is Crema who organizes lesbian events in Vancouver and also works at Celebrities" Night Club.

I need to know the interest in showing up - like how many think they will go! They will stamp your hand and you can come and go. Celebrities Night Club is in the heart of the GLBT Davies area. Please show up early and tour from there.

We now have over 100 Olivians that say they will attend so there is plenty of room for more. If you decide to attend at the last minute - OK - but snacks may be gone.

No person, including me, and Olivia will benefit monetarily from this event. This party is about fun not profit.

IF NEW WOMEN HAVE JOINED THE SITE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL ATTEND. THE CLUB ORDERS THE FOOD FROM AN OUTSIDE PLACE AND NEEDS A COUNT. YES THERE IS STILL TIME BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW SOONER THAN LATER. I ALSO THINK THE NON BLOGGERS WILL WANT TO ATTEND BUT I CANNOT CONTACT THEM. JERRI @OLIVIA SAID OLIVIA CANNOT PUT THE WORD OUT SINCE THEY ARE NOT ORGANIZING THE PARTY. I GUESS WORD OF MOUTH IN VANCOUVER WILL HAVE TO HAPPEN. THE AMOUNT AND COST OF SNACKS/FOOD IS THE ISSUE!

Women who are NOT on the Olivia cruise are welcome. I just put it out to our (Olivia Group) because I have no contacts in Vancouver. So Vancouver Olivians please bring your friends just pre reserve a space for them. The presail parties used to be sponsored by Olivia but I was advised this cruise will not have Olivia as a sponsor. So the party was intended for Olivia Guests and their Friends. The club is very large so there is room for all. Celebrities is in charge and will collect $10 from everyone.

If I have no count of non Olivia women - "how can the club plan for food. If you RSVP for your friends then the count will be OK. Celebrities must buy the food/snacks from another club...Joyce

Is this going to be an Olivia cruise party only (from 6 til 11), or are other Vancouver ladies still able to attend?  I just remember living in B.C. and most clubs had ladies only nights (and let men in after 11 pm).  Cus if it isn't just for Olivia then you won't have to worry about getting 600 women there to cover the cost of food.  Just a thought.

Olivia Travelers must put up a sign at their hotel themselves - Oliviai is not involved in this party. So since we are staying at many hotels it is up to us to put up the signs. I sure hope the women of Olivia RSVP now and not in Vancouver. The club orders the food from another club. Anyway spread the word. If last minute women show up we will just eat less. We are NOT going to Celebrities for food - Celebrities will just provide snacks, Vancouver law requires some food be served but eateries are in the same block. We can come and go all night.

Just get up to get to the ship the next day!!!

If you put up a sign at your hotel mention this is a party for the HAL sailing - Women of Olivia ...Joyce

Cooltraveler, Thats an excellent idea if its allowed. Since they did not have the facilities to have the pre cruise party there  , can't see there should be a problem.

 I will put up a notice at the YWCA, a lot of us on the connect group are staying there but there may well be a lot staying there who are not on connect gp or f/b
