Can't believe you don't know about bush week, Jayne!

For those who don't, it's an old saying .... we usually say 'What do you think this is, bush week?' and here's why:

It's an indignant response to someone who is taking you for a fool —’You’re going to charge me how much? What do you think this is, bush week?’ ‘Bush week’ is a time when country people come to town, and the phrase implies that they are easily fooled by the more sophisticated city slickers. The speaker resents being mistaken for a country bumpkin.

So there generally isn't any shooting during bush week.  Just shooting off of the mouth!

Thanks - Keep bumping it up. This can be an international party theme. Everyone bring a flag.  Like an Olympics of Fun..

I really need to put a number on those who will attend and tell our club host.  After 11pm - midnnight the men will show up but if the place is full there will not be room for the men. By then many women will have explored the rest of the area....Joyce

I will attempt a spread sheet but the FB people who do not go on the Olivia blog need to be copied. Please help this happen...Joyce

Almost positive we will be there...  We are staying just down the road from it.  So see those that are going there or we might just see you on the ship

My question for the ladies from Australia is whether you snipe hunt during bush week, or do you reserve that time for hunting drop bears? Wink

We must use the phrase "what do you think this is, bush week?" at every opportunity throughout the party.
