Seattle to Vancouver bus?

I'd love to take the train up with everyone, but we wanted to spend an extra night in Vancouver, and already have our hotel there for Friday and Saturday evening. The trip up is okay because we can get the train in the evening. But coming back we can't get the train back in time to get a flight out, so we would have to take the bus. But it sounds like it is better to spend the money to fly out of YVR instead of taking the bus. Don't need grumpy people after a week of fun on the cruise. :-)

if at all possible come into Seattle a day early
plenty of relatively inexpensive hotels nearer to SEA-TAC and south of Seattle (can give you some possible hotel if you need)
then take the # 510 train up the next morning with the rest of us...party starts on the train!!
last time we have had to take the bus up or back...cramped/crowded seating & grumpy passengers...customs was also a pain
we've had nothing but a great trip on the train...both ways & we've done this maybe 7...8 times via the train!

We are thinking about flying into Seattle since the tickets are about half the price as they would be if we flew to Vancouver. From there I had planned to take the train. But based on the flight schedules the only option is the bus. Does anyone have any experience to offer on the bus?
