I want compact (pocket size) because I never know when I need to point and shoot. LOL Fun can happen any second. I guess the important features would be zoom and maybe the ability to capture motion (not have a blur if someone is moving).

hey Peggy!  a photography excursion one day would be a great way for all interested in taking photos to get together and do a trip into town...but let's just say it won't be my group...it will be everyone's group!!! Big Smile

btw...did you ever find a compact camera that you liked?

Wow that was chilly😥. Just offering suggestions that have worked for us in the past.  Sorry to hear that the Olivia excursion did not go too well last time. Yes it is true that it's a predominantly male beach, however that's most of PV.  Back to photos.  My other half works in art and design and she has taken fabulous photos whale watching. This trip may be just a tad early for their migration season however if an excursion is offered I would recommend it.

From what everyone I know tells me is that the Blue chairs is mostly male. Yes "family" but mostly male. I want to hang with my ladies on this vacation as much as possible! I believe sleddog knows the area and can also maybe make some recommendations. Now back to what we came to talk about - Photography! 

What kind of camera does everyone have? Me, I have a Canon EOS 7D and I love it! Cool
