We booked this trip while we were in the Costa Rica.  We thought it couldn't get much better than Costa Rica, but from what we've heard and read it can -  in Tahiti!!!  SO looking forward to seeing all of our old friends again, as well as meeting all you newbies.

Of course Jill can answer best, but in the past, the charter flight was cheaper than anything I could purchase direct.  I know it was available for the travelers on the pre-stretcher.  I cannot comment on the flights for those that do not want to do the pre.  

Yes Julie, this will be #4.  I giggle everytime I think of this.  If you recall Karen said this was our "once in a lifetime trip".  We did not even leave the airport on arrival day and she said "I love this, we are coming back".  So much for once in a lifetime :-) but I do agree with her.

Jill mentioned a few commets back that group space will be offered out of LAX. My question to that is for past Olivians is flying in the group space does it cost more, aroud the same price or a lot less?

Also maybe only Jill can answer this, is the group space going to be for those of us who want to do the vacation streacher? Or is it for thoses who arn't taking the streacher???

I know theres a long time before this vacation but I'm just courious..

You are correct, Tahiti is the most beautiful place on earth.  It excites all your senses and yet exudes a sense of calm that is hard to come by in today's hectic world.  

The overwater bungalows are nice because you typically have private access from your deck to the water for snorkeling/swimming.  You can view the sea life right from your room via glass table tops or floors.  One of my fondest memories is a pizza party with four friends on the glass top coffee table.  It was dinner and a movie all in one.

The Paul Gauguin is also spectacular in terms of service and  accommodations.  For the most part, that is where we will spend most of our time, on the ship, in terms of accommodations.  Also, when the excursions are offered there is one absolute that you should consider.  It is when we are in Bora Bora.  It is a snorkeling with the rays and sharks.  Again, the best excursion I have ever done and I did not even snorkel.  Watching the other gals, enjoying the beautiful water colors and the clarity of the water enabled me to see everything the snorkelers did and I did not have to get sand in my toes :-).  When the excursions are listed, (I think we have some time here), I will highlight the one I reference in this post.

Ok so maybe we'll be "neighbours" in the bungalows. They used to call them Fares (With a French acute "e", which I can't seem to get from my keyboard right now!) Now they just refer to them as over water bungalows on a Motu.

Yes, we are excited about our third trip to Tahiti. We could do it over & over. Right Michele???
