Hey..watch out on those BIG suit cases if you're taking the charter, they had some pretty stiff restrictions and stated that they had the ability to refuse luggage .... I'm a classic over packer and Chris already threatened me once about it and having my luggage left behind...if I'm not careful I'm going to be a naked solo...LOL

StephBoston, when you order a cab make sure you ask for a van that will hold 5 people (Plus luggage) we've never had a problem anywhere, except in Costa Rica where they sent a mini car for 4 women & 5 or 6 big suitcases!! Ended up with our luggage strapped to the roof.........

Add 2 more of us to the Orange Hill pre-trip for the 30th-2nd. Maybe Olivia travelers will be the only ones there.

HI Lisa and Joyce:  You must have gotten the LAST room since it now shows Sold out!!!!   Hope you both (and I) like the Orange Hill.  Especially, since due to your earlier arrival, you will be 3 hours longer than I will, since I arrive at 4:32 pm. 

Supposedly, some travel site reviewers (TSR) the hotel restaurant is ok and there are a couple nearby restaurants. The web "family run" description looked pretty good, the price was right, it IS nearer the airport, and I forgot to say, but you probably saw, a "nice"  beach is right there. Some other TSRs said they even went snorkeling.  But by the time I get there and I leave, there may not be time for that, but there will be time for the sunset!!!. Taxi sharing on Friday sounds like a Plan!!!!  

Hi Dawn / Lisa and Joyce and other Nassau April 30 stop over folks!!! 

 I am going to be on the non-stop (!) Jet Blue flight from Boston on Thursday, the 30th, scheduled to leave at 1:10 pm  and due to arrive Nassau at 4:32 pm.  I found a "frugal" but good sounding hotel called the  Orange Hill Beach Inn, referred to on the Air Bahamas hotel link. It has a pool too, but it is a lot closer to airport, not the "city."  Should make the taxi back and forth to the airport cheaper and the sunset should be great!!!!  

It looks like there are several of us going from Nassau to CI on the Friday May 1, 11 am AB flight.  Actually, staying the extra day before and after at CI is going to be great, since we will be already nicely settled in when everyone comes on Sat the 2nd and we will be still be able to relax on Sat the 9th, when most people leave!!!!!
