I guess after all this site has gone through in the past few weeks with a couple of people finding anything & everything they could to post negatively ~ we all are just trying to find things that bring smiles or a few laughs!  I find my animals give me something everyday to smile & laugh about!!!

My entire post on the “church wars” was copied & pasted from some site that has cat/dog/animal humor ~ don’t know where they got it from or whether it was true or not ~ just thought it was good for a laugh!

Yes, what you said may have been a “killjoy” ~ almost like ~ you’re in the middle of watching a great mystery and someone says “Oh … I saw that last week and so & so did it.”

But, don’t say you won’t post again ~ instead, join us for a laugh ~ and help us bust a gut!!!

Or … start a new post and begin an interesting new subject.  It’s nice to see Olivia alive and floating with no heavy anchor weighing her down!

Sorry, I didn't mean to be a killjoy, I just thought folks might want to know.  I won't comment again.

Do all dogs go to heaven???

This is literally a "church signs" debate, being played out in a Southern town, between the Catholic church and a Presbyterian church. The churches face each other across a busy street. From top to bottom read the responses and counter-responses.

The Unsinkable Sam

Previously named Oscar, he was the ship's cat of the German battleship Bismarck. When she was sunk on 27 May 1941, only 116 out of a crew of over 2,200 survived. Luckily, Oscar was picked up by the destroyer HMS Cossack. Cossack herself was torpedoed and sunk a few months later, on 24 October, killing 159 of her crew, but again, Oscar survived to be rescued, and was taken to Gibraltar. He became the ship's cat of HMS Ark Royal but she too was torpedoed and sunk in November that year. Oscar was again rescued, but it was decided at that time to transfer him to a home on land. By now known as Unsinkable Sam, he was given a new job as mouse-catcher in the Governor General of Gibraltar's office buildings. He eventually returned to the UK and spent the rest of his life at the 'Home for Sailors'. A portrait of him hangs in the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

Dogs … Cats … Fish … Birds ... ect ...

Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage..

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously not that smart.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.

For now.........
