I don't mind planning the meet and greet. The problem will be having someone who gets in early to grab us an area. I plan to book the flight that has us getting in at 5:40pm.

 Soooo..ok anyone who gets in earlier want to volunteer? Here's what we need..  ok it's really easy!

I'd think around 2:30-3pm we just need some lovely gals to stake out an area

1. Near the pool bar...

 2. If possible get a table or two and some chairs grouped together....

 3. If there is an area with shade that would be good too.

Then just hang out and see who come to you. This job has perks!! 

The gift exchange was a lot of fun too ! Remember just a small gift to put on a table and exchange bring5 items to give away---small fun things--whatever you want!

I also found this organization http://www.giveatoygetasmile.org/who.htm that take toy-school supplies for local needy kids thought we might do this too. If the interest is large thought I'd see if they could do a pickup at Club Med. I'll post this for the week 1 folks too.

Debbie are you taking on the planning for the meet and greet. I think we get in around 4:20pm. If you need help let us know. We did pretty good with our flight. Go to travel zoo and let it give you the cheapest flights for AA and then go to the AA site and look for that flight and then plug in the Olivia code. That is how we got our flight as low as we did. Let me know how you make out. CANCUN, CANCUN, CANCUN, WOW 8 years you guys are catching up to us.....

 We will have to celebrate!!!!!!

Another site to check is Kayak.com.  It pulls flight deals from several sites. 

 We were supposed to have snow, but it missed us, which was good for a change. 

 Counting days, weeks until May!!!!!!!

Very cold CT here with a recent snowstorm of 10" we are more then ready to get to Cancun! We debated on waiting for a cheaper flight, but the seats were going fast on the only direct flight, so we finally booked it. We arrive at 1:30pm. Where is everyone's rooms? We are beachfront Torquesa building. Seems close to everything.

Jess we met a few Canadians on our last 2 trip I'm sure a few of your countrywomen will be there too!

The weather here has been mild but still cold for me and I can;t wait for the sun in Mexico.

I think we may get in around 5:50 maybe we will hook up with some of you on the ride from the airport. Not sure how they do that, we got in a day early on our last trip.

I'm going to borrow some of our friend INDE's travel tips and will share those later this week when I have a chance. She posted some great tips. Anyone else know INDE?

Has anyone found any great air fare deals? I looked one week and thought I'd wait and now the tickets went up $100 a person .

Well hello all, are we the only Canadians going on this trip? Wow I think so. And I believe I am the youngest possibly LOL. My girlfriend and I are SUPER excited and this will be her first time on an all inclusive...EVER! We are both excited to meet all of you as this is my first time travelling with Olivia. It looks so beautiful, Ive never been to Mexico so I'm excited about that too. And our ultimate favourite band, The Cliks, will be playing so that was pretty much the deal breaker for this vacation. So see all of you there!

Hi there!  We are looking forward to Cancun!  We have been talking to a few other couples from Connect, but would love to be able to meet up with the group when we arrive.  We are flying from Indianapolis direct and arrive approx.  5:30 pm.  When do you arrive?

This is our first resort trip, but we've been on previous cruises and had a great time!

 WE are excited about Cancun!! I put the smaller boat on hold.  Someone had mention biking, we would like to do that too. There is a place to zipline but I think we won't do that this trip. What's everyone else looking to do while in Cancun? This trip we will celebrate 8 years together.

Lisa--I hope the water is calm so you can fish with us!! Dramamine (ok not sure that's spelled right) might work. 

I started looking into charters found a 6 hour tour for up to 6 people for just under $600. Also found a very cool Yatch rental for up to 10 for $900 for 6 hours. I'll see if I can post the web addresses so you girls can look at them. The problem with the yatch is if 10 people go there's a good chance many won't catch anything--but man the boat is REALLY cool. Would like to think about a group of 6 on the larger boat but that puts it up to $150 a person. Any thouhgts? This boat would be better as far as seasickness goes. Can anyone tell which boat I want to take (ha)?
