Hello, hello to all you gals a chattering here, so good to get some conversations going here. 

Ok, as to the DVD, you will get it, but it is more like 6 mos., b/4 you get it, unless Olivia has changed turn around times.  If so, cool, but htink it took about 6 mos. for me to get my Hawaii one, and Mexico I fig. will be about 6 mos. , can ck on this and get back to ya.

Lets see, people have asked these questions:

Traveling with friends, should we room together?   Hum, can I say NO w/o shouting, no.

Where to stay?  Check out www.hotels.com, or any chains.  I will be staying b/4 and after the trip at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort, about 1.5 miles from the port, and out on the spit, oceanside.  Anyone else have there spots to stay yet?

Precruise party:  Oliva always has one the nite b/4 the cruise and they charge for it.  I have not been to one yet, have always done the party with the gals that are off of the board, like this one.  I will find us a spot to meet that will be in the general area of the port at a hotel that is central to where we all stay.  If all goes right.  So would be good to get hotel info from all of you when you know where you are staying. 

Has been busy at work and the weather has been the usual gamet up here, rain, cloudy skies and cold, burr.  Ready for warmer weather.  So here is another counter for all of us.

Come to think of it, I haven't received a DVD either. If I get some time tomorrow I will make a call.

 We are all supposed to receive one for every cruise we are on aren't we?

Patty & I are planning a Florida trip in May. We will make a point of visiting you & Patty.

I'm set up for entertaining too. You are always welcomed here in AZ.

Do any of you who were on the Mexican Riviera Cruise know whatever became of the DVD we were supposed to receive?  We were told onboard that we would get a DVD of the cruise in 6-8 weeks.  Well, we've been back since October 27th.  By my count, that's far beyond 6-8 weeks.  I thought some of you on this site might have been on that cruise with us and might know something.

Hey, Jackie.  I guess you'll be getting a new "roomie" soon.   I'm glad you guys are going on the 35th cruise.  Patty and I are just chomping at the bit.  As to the singing, why didn't you get into Olivia Idol?  I had a blast doing that and met lots of people because of it.  On the cruise I took last March, they did have one night where they did karaoke in the Queen's Lounge.  I don't know why they didn't do that on the Mexican Riviera cruise. If you come to The VIllages sometime, we can sing to our hearts content as I have all the equipment.  I make my extra money by singing at the various clubs around here, so I have the music, mics, speakers, etc.  Anyway, we look forward to seeing you again.

Hi to the fun gals in Florida. Remember me? I'm the smiling camera lady from the Mexican Riviara cruise. Patty & I will both be on the 35th bash cruise. It was great talking with you on the phone last month.  I hear we are both hams when it comes to singing. Do you know anyone who works for Olivia that we can talk to about having an open mike at one of the ship bars? I think that would be so much fun. At least for us!

WHEN YOU GET THAT INFORMATION ABOUT THE PRE-PARTY BE SURE TO LET US KNOW.....YOU MAKE IT SOUND LIKE FUN

Can the time go any sloooooooower?  November seems like forever away, but I know that the time will pass and we will soon be cruisin'.  I am so psyched that Suzanne W. is doing a show for us.  I think she is hilarious.  If you've  never heard her you are in for a big treat.  Does anyone know what the host hotel is for this cruise?  My partner and I want to be sure to come down the night before so we can go to the pre-party.  It is well worth going to, particularly if you are first-timers.  If you are a first time Solo, you will meet bunches of other fun Solos.  My first trip I went Solo and met some great women.  In other words, be prepared to have fun, fun, fun. I can't tell you what a wonderful feeling it is to be aboard ship and be surrounded by nothing but outstanding women who are all smiling and having a great time.  Patty and I are chomping at the bit and can't wait to meet all of you.

Hello again to all the new folks joining up.  I can't wait for the trip.  My goal is to learn how to scuba and kayak before the trip (my ex does both....and we are still very close so I think I can talk her into helping me out).  I want to enjoy every experience I can on this trip.  Currently I am going solo, but I am still working on getting my ex to come along, since our status as EX is actually still up in the air.  You know how that goes.  Indie, thanks for all the great information and I am going to try to attend all the pre-parties as well as the on board ones and get over my natural shyness around new people.  I can't wait to meet everyone.  Have a good week.

Welcome aboard to the new folks!! This is where it gets fun, people checking in and wanting to chat about the trip and about other stuff.  This much I can tell you is that this is a great way to get to know some folks b/4 one gets on board.

Like most of us, we all have to work, yet I like what I do, engineering work and the real fun begins when the weekends come, I am a river raft guide.  I guide down certain Washington rivers, calm rivers and wild raging rivers.  It is hella fun!  Just got done guiding Bald Eagle float trips, up on a river that is about 3 hours from where I live.  Weekend Warrior!!  I also like to research all of the trips that I go on, as if you could not tell, and if not you will by the time this trip comes about.  Inde on the go!!!

Ok, speaking of going, have much to do b/4 LOST comes on, love that show!!

Whats up ladies? I'm so ready for my first ever cruise! Seems like the days are dragging by. I hope to get to meet everyone. I'm new at this, so I don't really know what to expect. Excited how everyone has been talking about all of the pre and on board parties. If anyone has any good advice send it our way

Welcome to our Tennessee friends!  Inde, thanks for keeping the countdown.  I'm ready to leave today.  I got offered a two-fer on the March/April cruise, but, my beloved can't get off work so we had to let it go.  We are both dying inside!!  We would go on every cruise if we could, but money and work do tend to interfere!

We certainly look forward to meeting everyone, whether at the pre-party or once we are on board.  Holland America's crew does a great job of making us feel welcome.  I don't care if it costs twice as much for these cruises, It is worth it to us to be able to be ourselves and be with great women from all over the hemisphere!  See you all soon-but not soon enough! 

 

Hey y'all!

Just want to introduce ourselves to the group.  We just got back from our first-ever cruise-the 35th anniversary cruise to the Carribean- and cant wait for the birthday bash.  We were ever so surprised and thrilled when we won a twofer for the birthday bash, so, here we go again!  I can hardly wait! 

Alittle bit else about us: we are based in Memphis, TN,where my beloved is a zookeeper.  I am a prison doc.  We have 2 furry children and have been together for just over 2 years although it seems like a lifetime.  We both started out very far from Memphis-she is from sunny California and I am from NYC, but fate led us here and to each other.

Well thats all for now.  Hope to learn more about all you all in the months leading up to our next great adventure.
