I went on a cruise last year and it was great but Im looking forward to the relaxing part of a resort.  I am also looking forward to the fact that this is all inclusive.  We found that a cruise became quite pricey by the end of it, with drinks and all the excursions, ect.  I dont think you can loose either way!  Its definitely a wonderful experience and I hope we see you on this trip!  This is my first time going solo

I'm also a solo from San Francisco (well ... I work in SF, live in Pacifica). I was on the Alaska cruise last October ... maybe I'll make it an annual thing to travel in Oct! Look forward to meeting you!

Hi Gina, 

Can you change the time of the Saturday Solo's meet and greet?  The Charter flight from Miami does not land until 6:20.  Can you change it to 7:00?

Steph, what time is the Solos "meet and greet"?  It may be we can reschedule our Beach Bar "threadie lei party" later in the day.

 

I do hope that the Solos "meet and greet intro" on Sunday morning is held somewhere close to Beach Bar "meet and greet" so that the 6 or so other Solos that are posting on this thread and other Solo readers of this thead, will be able to come too!!!! Otherwise, it sounds like the the BB "get together" will last long enough for us Solos to us to go to both !!!

Hi Im flying into Nassau the day even 1 more day before (the 30th ) as i cant get a flight until 1st May from Nassau to CI and the UK is a long way away.. Im sure it will be worth it .. so there will be several of us on the flight from Nassau to CI on 1st May !!

I think we may be on the same flights. I too fly on Friday morning from Miami to Nassau then to CI on Bahamas Air. Steph is coming from Boston, so she will meet up with us on the Nassau-CI leg.

The transport from the San Salvador airport to the resort is included. You need to go on the Olivia site and enter your flight information under My Upcoming Vacations- itinerary. That way you will be on the list to be picked up on Friday at noon.

Hey KokoD.  Thanks for you response.  Can't believe you've been on 21 trips.  that's fantastic.  As i said this is my first, so i have a long way to go.  I'm pretty happy about the fact that we get an extra two days at the resort, but i would appreciate finding friendly faces that first day.  I fly into San Salvador Friday morning from Miami (Bahama Air flight).  so will be arriving around noon Friday.  Not sure how i'm getting to the resort from the airport but i hear it's very close.  So i'll be the brownish/blonde 5'5" woman walking around looking lost and sweating from the heat - will be an adjustment from the dry Montana air.  see ya then!
