NEW ON DVD:
The Gymnast
Tremendously successful on the lesbian and gay film festival circuit over the past year, this hot lesbian feature is finally out on DVD. More than a coming out film and more than a love story, The Gymnast is a visually stunning and exceptionally well-acted drama about hope, second chances, and finding the courage to defy gravity. Dreya Weber (Lovely & Amazing, Everything Relative) stars as a 40-something former top aerialist in an unhappy marriage who finds new energy with knockout gorgeous trapeze artist Addie Yungmee (Wow! Addie is a former L.A. Lakers cheerleader and was one of Madonna’s top dancers).
NEW ON SCREEN:
Itty Bitty Titty Committee
The latest fabulous movie from Jamie (But I’m a Cheerleader) Babbit is a dynamic, romantic, frequently funny and yet politically astute movie with a smart script, rockin’ soundtrack and terrific ensemble cast that includes sexy young Melonie Diaz as the new dyke on the block who falls in with a great gang of Feminist troublemakers called Clits in Action (CiA), and then falls in love with leader of the pack Nicole Vicius. Unfortunately, Nicole has a girlfriend – Melanie Mayron – and, as they say, drama ensues. With Carly Pope, Daniela Sea, Guinevere Turner, Deak Eugenikos, Jenny Shimizu and Lauren Mollica.
Opening Friday September 28th at Laemmle Sunset 5 in West Hollywood, CA.

The Brave One
Our Jonesing for Jodie is finally over. The Brave One is now playing on big screens everywhere. Check out the scene in the backseat of the car when she rescues the girl and tell us there’s not something erotic going on. Here’s a nice set of pix from last week’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere of the film:
Website We Love This Week
To celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of TREMBLING ON THE ROAD, Sandi DuBowski’s activist documentary about the impact of his film TREMBLING BEFORE G-D, Dubowski has launched an innovative Web 2.0 and face-to-face campaign to organize 250 Trembling on the Road screening and discussion events in homes, workplaces, and houses of worship. The kick-off coincides with the 10 days between Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement). The goal is to reach over 100,000 Jews and non-Jews. The aim of the campaign is to catalyze people to reflect (and take actions) on the questions: Have you created a more open and welcoming home, synagogue, family, and community? Where can you make a transformative change? Click here to learn more and to participate in this amazing phenomenon.
