Hi! It's Jill here, and we just returned from an amazing visit to one of our ports of calls that will be on our Mexican Riviera trip (October 20-27, 2007), Cabo San Lucas.

Cabo is a place where the desert meets the sea. The downtown area is full of shopping, great restaurants, and of course the famous "Cabo Wabo". Along the public beaches are plenty of areas to take in the sun and swim or find a jet ski to rent for about $50 for 30 minutes. US dollars are happily accepted.

Further down are some amazing Golf Courses - The Palmilla and others. The Palmilla course had 3, 9 hole sections, and we took in a morning of Golf and did the Mountain and the Ocean sections. Having not golfed in over 12 years, my partner, Vicki and I, were pretty excited. Playing "Best Ball" for this hacker was the way to go. For more information about Cabo Golf Courses, or to arrange afternoon tee times (we arrive in Cabo and tender to shore at 11am, so the earliest to plan for would be 1 or 2pm), go to: http://www.golfcabosanlucas.com/ There were several sites I found, but this one seemed to be the most inclusive. The ship can arrange Taxi transportation to these courses.
Whether you are a golfer, snorkeler, shopper or sun worshipper, you are going to really enjoy our first stop!

Our next Voice Post will take you Puerto Vallarta.
