Hi, it’s Tisha here. Jill Cruse and I are excited to be sharing our “voices” with you on our new website. Jill and I will be posting blogs about our upcoming trips sharing interesting travel tips as you get ready to pack your bags for your Olivia vacation. Land Ahoy will focus on our resort vacations and for all you land lovers, resorts are the perfect vacation for a good balance of fun and lots of relaxation! Some of our favorite resort vacations as voted by you, our guests, have been Columbus Isle, Punta Cana and Turks & Caicos. And do we have some great resorts coming up – Vallarta Palace (November 10 – 17, 2007), Cancun, we just added a second week (May 3 – 10, 2008 & May 10 – 17, 2008) and Turks (October 25 – November 1, 2008). The best thing about the resort vacations is they are all-inclusive – what this means is that all your food, beverages and practically all your activities are included (scuba diving and excursions are extra). All inclusive means you don’t have to worry about that credit card bill when you get back home. As we get to know many of our resort guests, they can agree that it’s easy to get hooked on the resorts; in fact, each year there’s always a big reunion of Olivia guests who do the resorts once, even twice a year.
A day in the life of an Olivia resort vacationer goes like this: wake up to the sunshine and ocean blue waves, take a leisurely walk around the village and make your way to breakfast where you’re sure to make many new friends. After breakfast, head back your room to pick up your beach bag for the day (sunscreen, towel, IPOD, a good book and bottled water). Some guests even bring their own unique floating rafts for the pool. Now it’s time to head for the beach or the pool where you’ll find plenty of activities going on. Water polo, water and beach volleyball, dance lessons, water aerobics, kayaking, windsurfing and the ever popular pool games. After spending a leisurely morning by the pool or on the beach, it’s time to make your way for lunch where there is always a wide assortment of buffet selections available. After lunch, it’s siesta time. Take a nap. Sip on a fruity cocktail or participate in one of the many Olivia activities going on – take an excursion into the local town, play volleyball, basketball, or at the Club Med’s you can try your talents on the flying trapeze. Early evenings are always nice for a sunset cocktail, a sunset dance or simply mingling and meeting new people. Before long it will be time for dinner and an evening filled with entertainment. As you can read, at the resorts you can do everything or nothing at all. If you’ve never tried an Olivia resort vacation, it’s never too late. Stay tuned for next time when I share some inside travel tips for our upcoming Vallarta Palaceand Cancun vacations. Land Ahoy!
